MOST INSURANCE COMPANIES UPDATE THEIR TELEHEALTH POLICIES MONTHLY AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CONTINUE TO CHECK EVERY PLAN'S SPECIFIC BENEFITS.
Our FIRST suggestion is to check online for your insurance plan's COVID-19 FAQ and double-check their Telehealth Parity rules (not tele-doc or doctor-on-demand appointments) before calling customer service. If your insurance does not allow you to have virtual visits please call us. Medicare and Medicaid plans currently have Telehealth coverage through the end of the pandemic declaration.
YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE TO LET US KNOW THAT YOUR INSURANCE WON'T COVER TELEHEALTH SESSIONS AND THAT YOU HAVE TO BE SEEN IN PERSON FOR THEM TO COVER.
The office phone number is (319) 365-3993 to confirm that you can continue to do telehealth or if you must be seen in person.
Phone calls may come to you with the caller ID blocked. Please check your phone settings to allow for blocked or restricted calls.
Remember that if someone in your household has been quarantined, is sick, had a fever in the last two weeks, or has traveled, we request that you stay home.
Per the Cedar Rapids Mayor's Mask Mandate, here are the building rules:
- You must wear a mask covering your nose and mouth when inside the building. If you cannot wear a mask correctly, you will be asked to leave or wait in your vehicle.
- Only the patient and one parent/guardian will be allowed in the office. All others must wait in your vehicle/outside.
- If you are sick, in quarantine or isolation you should not come into the office at all. Please call to reschedule if you cannot do a video appointment. If you show up sick we will ask you to leave.
